Day Three in Paris
We started off with French class in the morning. We learned basic French, numbers and how to introduce ourselves. Then we had another Paris tour with our guide Cedric on foot. Our first stop was the museum of ruins, the Roman baths. Nowadays there are only boulder sized rocks and a staircase that leads down to the bathing rooms. They bathed in 60-80 degrees water temperature and could choose which bath and temperature they wanted. They would then dip into a cool bath for about one minute. This was something the Romans would do everyday. After learning about the Roman baths we walked about a mile into the Collesuim and entered in through the gladiator entrance. We went into the lion cage and lifted up the wooden bars. We talked about gladiator stuff and I learned that people fought people. We then went to the very top where the seating for the events took place. Now there are only one tenth of the seats left today. We then met up with everyone at Luxemburg gardens and then headed home for dinner.
I'll bet you will learn a lot more French this year!
